The world loves the OnePlus 5. It gets so many things right: It has a lengthy battery life, speedy performance and -crucially – it’s easy on the wallet, too. But there’s one major feature it was sorely lacking – 4K video stabilisation. It’s time to rejoice though, Electronic Image Stabilisation is here, and it works wonders.
The lack of proper video stabilisation was a big deal breaker for some, and was so detrimental that it rendered 4K recording entirely useless. This new over the air update mind you – OxygenOS 4.5.7 – fixes this. And, as you can see in my test footage against a OnePlus 5 without the update, does a phenomenal job at it, too.
