Life after getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

Prof. Farrukh Hussain

As soon as the COVID-19 fades out the results came out accros the country a big number of people are finding themselves with more protections from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Getting vaccinated mean you are fortunate enough to be able to relax and enjoy your time away but it doesn’t allow you to return to your pre-pandemic lifestyle as the demographic results show.
The experiment of the COVID-19 vaccinations has been very effective for every one till they have gotten it. The vaccination came out to be a protective shield and will also protect you from serious disease and will very likely keep you safer from getting COVID-19 at all. But you could still have mild infection with out any symptoms and that could still spread chain of infection and complications in others.
At last we will get to “herd immunity” which occurs once a high number and percentage of the population is immune, either from having had COVID-19 or getting the vaccine. In that situation, cases are low.and they remain low because there is least possibility of spreading the virus around that is why it is emphasised to get fully vaccinated. But it still requires taking precautions like wearing a mask and keeping distance while going in public but even then there may be bumps in the road along the way.
Similarly vaccines are created and made to make you immune, not invincible but they provide remarkable protection against SARS-COV-2 virus.
As far as the virus goes to an extent of fading away more people are vaccinated, the risk of catching a mild case or spreading it to someone else will decrease.
In Pakistan if we want to go back to the pre COVID-19. era we need to do two things :more vaccines and more people who are vaccinated.
Deseases need carriers mean people or masses to spread so the more people who are vaccinated lesser the chances of getting corona virus or any other deases.
What could be done to the fully vaccinated individuals having a vaccine for yourself is great and it certainly gives you peace of mind even if you have to take precautions for the sake of your life and for others.
As cases become shorter and shorter and number of vaccinated increases closes contact with other gets safer and safer, but the new variants and waves could still bring an increase in numbers of cases. So please taking care toprotact yourself and your loved ones. Just like you did at the start of the pandemic and stay conversant with family and friends about the potential risk of the deases till we are totally out of it. Stay blessed and healthy. God bless you and all.
