Celebrities Took Naked Dresses to a New Level During Milan Fashion Week

In the ongoing saga that is the “naked” trend, see-through dresses have graduated from subtle mesh panels and tame nude-colored dresses to basically barely there. Celebrities, trendsetters, and models alike are testing the limits of the trend, flaunting more skin and cementing this trend as the only one that matters when it comes to red carpet and event dressing. Last week during Milan Fashion Week, celebs brought the naked dress to new heights at a Vogue Italia event.

Though Ashley Graham’s showstopping look was less of a dress per se, it does a lot for the history of the naked trend. She wore a sheer robe over a leopard bodysuit and topped it off with a wide leather waist belt. If you read our breakdown of naked dresses on a scale of one to 10, you’d understand why Ashley’s daring look lands at least at a level 9. The model punctuated the look with strappy sandal heels that make her legs look so long.

Accompanying Graham were two other naked dresses that certainly tested the limits of the sheer fabric. Model Elsa Hosk stepped out in an icy rhinestone-encrusted creation with a 3-D neckline and see-through tulle skirt. Next up was actress Arielle Kebbel’s black dress, which featured sheer skirt and sleeves and a beautiful lace bodice.
